The Mallorca Edit

An island of timeless beauty, Mallorca offers so much more than stunning beaches. From charming villages and historic towns to vibrant culinary scenes and breathtaking hikes, we’ve curated our favorite experiences to help you make the most of your time on the island.

The Capital: Palma de Mallorca

Overview:

Mallorca’s vibrant capital blends centuries of history with Mediterranean charm. Wander through its Old Town, a labyrinth of cobblestone streets, and discover Gothic landmarks like La Seu Cathedral. Along the waterfront, palm-fringed promenades frame sweeping sea views. Art and culture abound, from contemporary galleries to historic palaces. As dusk falls, Palma comes alive with bustling tapas bars and chic rooftop lounges. We highly recommend spending at least a day or evening here—there’s plenty to explore, without feeling overly commercial.

A Perfect Day:

Start your morning with a coffee or pastry at Ca’n Joan de S’Aigo, a beloved family-run café steeped in tradition. Explore Mercat de l’Olivar, La Seu Cathedral, Paseo del Borne, Plaza de Cort, and nearby attractions. Stroll down Carrer de Sant Feliu for stylish shops like Rialto Living and art galleries like Gerhardt Braun. Don’t miss Mercat de Santa Catalina—the SoHo of Palma—and its surrounding cafés. For lunch, take a taxi to Hotel Bendinat for a relaxing, waterfront meal. Spend the afternoon at nearby beaches or visit the Fundació Miró Mallorca for an intimate look into the life of one of Spain’s most celebrated artists. If the weather’s nice, explore Portitxol, a charming fishing village just 5 minutes from Palma, and dine at Sa Roqueta for fresh, local seafood.

Sóller & Port de Sóller

Overview:

Tucked into a lush valley between the mountains and the sea, the twin towns of Sóller and Port de Sóller are connected by a vintage wooden tram that’s as charming as it is scenic. Sóller is rich in local life, architecture, and citrus groves, while Port de Sóller offers a peaceful seaside escape with a curved bay, boardwalk cafés, and golden light at dusk. With most guests staying here, this area will feel like home base—and a very beautiful one at that.

What to Do:
